Christmas Light Installer — Seasonal (Sept–Dec), No Experience Needed
Sparkled Lighting is hiring installers for the 2026 Christmas season. We install permanent LED lighting and seasonal Christmas lights on homes across Davis and Weber counties, plus Salt Lake, Utah, Morgan and Box Elder.
The work
Lights on rooflines — running channel, clean corners, hidden wire. You’re on ladders, outdoors, in Utah weather that gets colder as the season goes on.
No experience needed — and you’ll be trained by the people who train the industry
You don’t need to have hung a light before. You need to want to learn it right.
We are featured in the lighting industry’s official installer training videos and train other lighting contractors across the country how to install permanent LED lighting correctly.
That’s who trains you. What you learn here, you learn at the standard the rest of the industry is being taught — and it’s a trade skill you keep.
The standard — read this part. Meticulous is the job. It is not a bonus and it is not optional.
Straight lines. Even spacing. Square corners. No wire showing anywhere. Every home we light is a sign in a front yard, and a neighbor decides about this company from the sidewalk in about three seconds.
Less than meticulous work is not acceptable here. If that sounds like too much, this isn’t the right fit, and that’s completely fine. If it’s already how you work, you’ll do well.
You’ll be solving puzzles, not just hanging lights
Every house is different. Working out how to map a clean run — where the line goes, how it turns a corner, how to get from one roofline to the next without a cable ever showing — is genuinely a puzzle, and a good installer works it out on their own. We need someone who thinks it through instead of waiting to be told.
What we’re looking for
- Hard working — the season is short and the days are long
- Solves problems on their own instead of waiting for instructions
- Meticulous with small details, without being reminded
- Comfortable on a ladder and working at height
- Reliable — homeowners are told exactly when we’ll be there
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to lift and carry ladders and equipment
Pay — performance based
This is performance pay, not a flat wage. You’re paid on the work you complete at a rate set per service, so as you get faster and cleaner, you earn more. The full structure is walked through at the interview.
The season
September through December, part time. Top performers have a path to year-round work — our permanent lighting side runs all twelve months, so December doesn’t have to be the end of it.
Applications are only taken through the form — it takes a few minutes.
