Most lighting companies hide pricing behind a form.

Most lighting companies hide pricing behind a form. We publish our ranges because you shouldn't have to book a sales visit to learn whether something fits your budget. Across Utah, professionally installed permanent lighting typically runs $25–$30+ per linear foot; where your home lands inside a range depends mostly on linear footage and roofline complexity.

Permanent Christmas Lights

Installed once. Every holiday after that.

Color-matched aluminum channel, concealed wiring, premium RGBW pucks, lifetime product warranty. Typically $25–$30+ per linear foot installed.

Small · front only

Front roofline

80–120 linear feet

$2,000 – $3,500 Installed, fully warrantied
Large · full wrap

Full perimeter coverage

240–400+ linear feet

$6,000 – $12,000+ Installed, fully warrantied

What the per-foot rate does not include. The controller and any jumps — breaks in the roofline the cable has to cross — are itemized on your quote rather than buried in the rate. Seasonality and how many areas you light move the number too.

Full details on the Permanent Christmas Lights page — or the 2026 Davis County pricing guide for the per-foot breakdown.

SmartClip LED Lighting

The same lights, about a third less.

Patented InvisiClips instead of channel — the accessible way into permanent lighting. Typically $17–$21+ per linear foot installed, with a 5-year warranty.

Permanent, per linear foot $25 – $30+
SmartClip, per linear foot $17 – $21+

The same lights, about a third less

The RGBW pucks, the controller and the app are identical across both systems. What changes is the mounting — patented clips instead of cut, color-matched aluminum channel, which is the expensive half of a permanent install.

That makes SmartClip roughly 30% less at every scale. On a typical front-and-sides roofline it is around $1,500 back in your pocket for the same lights on the same house.

Why prices vary

Four things move the number, and none of them is the color you pick.

Linear footage

The single biggest factor — pricing follows the measured feet of roofline being lit.

Roofline complexity

Peaks, valleys, dormers and turrets take more time and more precise work than a straight run.

Stories and access

Two-story rooflines and steep pitches need more equipment and more careful crews.

Coverage

Front only costs less than front, sides, back and ridgeline. You choose the scope.

How much do permanent Christmas lights cost in Utah?

Professionally installed permanent Christmas lights in Utah typically run $25–$30+ per linear foot installed. At Sparkled Lighting, installs start at $2,000: a small home (roughly 80–120 ft of roofline) usually lands between $2,000 and $3,500, a mid-size home (140–200 ft) between $3,500 and $6,000, and full coverage on a large home (240–400+ ft) runs $6,000 to $12,000+. Your exact price comes from a free onsite quote — we measure the roofline, you get a number with no obligation.

How much does professional Christmas light installation cost?

Our seasonal Christmas light service starts at $500, with most homes landing between $800 and $1,400+ per season — and most homeowners spending $1,200 to $1,500 on average each year. That is all-inclusive: we provide, install, maintain, remove and store the lights. You never buy or own the lights, and you never climb a ladder.

Why is pricing a range instead of an exact number?

Every house is different. Linear footage is the biggest factor, but steeper rooflines, more peaks and valleys, second stories, and how many sides you light all move the price. A range tells you honestly where homes like yours land; the exact number takes a measurement, which is why the onsite quote is free.

Does the color pattern I choose change the price?

No. For seasonal Christmas lights, every pattern — Classic, Candy Cane, Peppermint, Multi-Color, or a fully custom pattern — costs the same. For permanent and SmartClip systems, all 16.7 million colors come with the system.

Is there a deposit? Do you offer financing?

Details on deposits and payment come with your written quote, so there are no surprises. Ask about current options when we visit — and ask about the $1,000 install credit on Permanent Christmas Lights (100 LED minimum) — it's applied right on the quote.

What do commercial installations cost?

Commercial properties get custom quotes — contact us and we'll walk the property.
