What the per-foot rate does not include. The controller and any jumps — breaks in the roofline the cable has to cross — are itemized on your quote rather than buried in the rate. Seasonality and how many areas you light move the number too.

Jumps in the roofline
Every break in the roofline — dormers, bump-outs, split elevations — is a jump the crew wires and conceals. More jumps, more work.
Areas & volume
Front-only costs less than a full wrap — and lighting more areas at once earns volume pricing on the additional runs.
Seasonality
Fall slots fill by September–October; off-season installs are the best value.
